This DBC, sports injury and physiotherapy clinic offers the latest technologically advanced and scientifically approved treatments. The clinic is located on Dublin Road, Naas, Co Kildare. Treatments performed at the clinic include electrotherapy treatments like ultrasound, interferential, action potential stimulation, electrical nerve stimulation, electrical acupuncture and electromagnetic stimulation, hot packs, ice packs, strapping, splinting, soft tissue massage, deep friction massage, mobilization, manipulation, cardiovascular programmes, rehabilitation programs and Pilates. Mary O'Connor

Biography:
Mary is one of Irelands most respected Chartered Physiotherapists, having held such prestigious posts as President of the Irish Sports Medicine Association, & President of the Irish Society of Orthopaedic Medicine. Having established her Private Practice in Naas, Co. Kildare in 1990, Mary comes with a wide level of experience of all aspects of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Mary joined DBC in 2004 as Medical Director of the new DBC Naas Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation facility and continues her physiotherapy practice from the centre at Trident House, Dublin Road, Naas. Mary lectures on the Orthopaedic Medicine post-graduate courses in UCD and the Royal College of Surgeons and also sits on the National Coaching & Training Centre Sports Science and Medical Support committee. A Tipperary native, Mary has worked extensively within GAA & soccer with many of Irelands leading clubs & teams. She has previously held the position of club physiotherapist at Shamrock Rovers & Shelbourne FC, in addition to physiotherapist with the Irish Olympic Team.She is currently a member of the advisory board to the Irish Institute of Sport

Paddy O'Brien

Biography:
Paddy O'Brien joined DBC in July 2005 from the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire, to take up the position of Head Physiotherapist at DBC Naas. Paddy is former captain of the Tipperary Senior Hurling team. His achievements within hurling are nothing short of spectacular; with an almost complete medal set including the prized 2001 Senior All-Ireland winners medal, in addition of a host of Senior Munster, Railway Cup and Minor Inter-County honours. With home club Toomevara, Paddy has been part of one of Munster's most successful clubs, with numerous County Championships and Munster titles to his name at all underage and senior levels. The perspective that Paddy has as such an experienced and successful Inter-County player and then Physiotherapist is unique; seeing the problems from both sides of the fence as such. His practical knowledge of Gaelic injuries & the pressure that exists on players to get back as soon as possible has added a new & exciting element to the growing DBC team.He has a diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine further enhansing his knowlege of the management and treatment of Sports Injuries.

Robert Mc Cabe

Biography:
Rob joined the clinic in Feb 07. A native of Kildare he went to school at Newbridge College before going to Dublin City University(DCU) where he graduated with a Bsc Hons Sports Science and Health. He then went on to graduate with an Msc Physiotherapy from Robert Gordan University Aberdeen .He recently completed his diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine His many sporting achievements include playing Gaelic football for Kildare 1997-2005 . He was a member of the DCU Sigerson Cup team and while at Robert Gordan University was a recipient of a Full Blue Award for the Scotland Railway Cup. He is a former member of the Kildare Senior Football panel, and plays his club football for Ballyteague GFC. His areas of interest are Orthopaedics ,Sports Injuries and Neurology.He has a particular interest in strength and conditioning.
