The biomechanical examination is a critical part of the evaluation for orthotics, and are carried out by Chartered Physiotherapist with post graduate training in Biomechanical Aseessment.

We use foot scan technology to assess weight distribution across the sole of the foot, and expert assessment of biomechanical alingment.

Our general approach to orthotics at the Clinic is to start patients out owith temporary orthotics. This allows us to monitor their effectivemess and modify them where necessary. Also, we find that temporary orthotics are as effective as the more expensive molded pairs, once they are correctly prescribed, and once they are be reviewed / replaced each year when they expire.

Once the temporary orthotics need to be renewed, the patient can either replace them or upgrade to a permanent / moulded pair if suitable.

At the Fermoy Physiotherapy Clinic, we use provide two kinds of massage - Therapeutic Massage and Sports/Deep Tissue Massage. We also provide reflexology treatments.
