Reiki is a Japanese technique that helps restore balance and harmony to the mind and body. It is administered by laying-on hands and is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. Reiki uses the life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies. Reiki promotes healing, reduces stress and promotes relaxation through addressing physical, mental, emotional and spiritual imbalances. We combine Reiki and massage to maximise the relaxation benefits leaving you to renew yourself at your own pace.

Reiki sooths the body while creating balance and harmony on physical, mental and emotional levels. This wonderful therapy, often available in hospitals in Ireland and the UK is based on the principle that blocks can form in a persons aura leading to dis-ease or illness. Drawing on universal energy, the therapist helps to release these blocks thereby stimulating the clients healing ability or preventing the occurance of illness.  Our clients report a variety of pleasant sensations including heat and gentle pressure during the treatments.

Reflexology is a very soothing relaxing treatment which has been shown to benefit a multitude of common ailments, boost the immune system & reduce stress. The treatment is based on an ancient principle that specific points on the feet correspond to body parts or organs. The therapist works on the feet with a combination of soothing effleurage, pressure techniques and gentle stretching. Essential oil creams & rosewater used in the treatment enhance the relaxation and add an extra dimension to the treatment

WHAT IS REIKI?Reiki is a gentle but powerful hands-on-healing therapy.It empowers your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels to bring harmony and balance into your life.HOW DOES REIKI WORK?We all have an energy field (aura) surrounding our physical body as well as energy points. As we go through life we place demands on these energy points. During a Reiki treatment this energy is re-energised and balanced. A Reiki practitioner is professionally trained to channel healing energy.WHAT HAPPENS DURING A REIKI SESSION?You will normally be asked to lie down on a very comfortable Reiki table to receive a Reiki treatment. If you have a problem lying down, then it is possible for a Reiki session to be given while you are sitting on a chair. You will remain fully clothed. Reiki energy is so strong that it will pass through clothing and can even pass through a plaster cast.During the session the Reiki Practitioner will gently lay their hands on or over different areas of the body. Generally, you will feel a slight pleasant tingling sensation in the area being treated. It is also not uncommon for an area to feel warm, hot or icy cold when being healed. You will begin to feel very relaxed as your mind switches off, your breathing slows down and deepens and your bodys muscles let go of tension. You may even fall into a deep relaxing sleep.AFTER A REIKI SESSIONImmediately after the session has ended you may feel very drowsy and so relaxed that you dont want to move, rather like waking up from a very deep and relaxing sleep. Even as you become more alert the deep sense of physical and mental calm remains, yet also leaves you full of energy. After a couple of treatments this sense of relaxation grows as balance returns to your body.
