Dental Crowns

Restore your smile.

Dental crowns restore chipped or worn teeth to their original shape. Fitted over the existing tooth, they strengthen and protect as well as improving your smile.

A number of options are available to choose from, with porcelain or ceramic crowns being the most common. Your dentist has to prepare the tooth prior to fitting a new crown and depending on your choice of material you may need a temporary crown before the final crown is fitted.

Modern brand-name manufacturing processes like CERAC or Procera can reduce the time spent at the dentist to just 1 or 2 visits.

Dock Road, Galway < 1 km to center of Galway Dental Crowns: Where damage to a persons teeth is extreme, and apparently beyond repair, we may consider porcelain or porcelain "pasted on gold" crowns  to restore the damaged teeth. This traditional technique is still often used and extremely reliable for repairing the most severe of dental problems, even permanently replacing missing teeth to offer a complete smile and a functional bite.

21 Middle Street, Galway < 1 km to center of Galway Dental Crowns: Dental Crowns are a type of dental restoration which, when cemented into place, entirely covers or "caps" over the portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line. Since dental crowns encase the entire visible aspect of a tooth, a dental crown in effect becomes the tooths new outer surface. Crowns can be made out of porcelain (meaning some sort of dental ceramic), metal (a gold or other metal alloy), or a combination of both. Dental crowns are routinely made for teeth that have broken, worn excessively, or else have had large portions destroyed by tooth decay.

Forster court, Galway city < 2 km to center of Galway Review by Damien - Were you pleased with the treatment?
I would highly recommend this clinic. Mary and her team do an excellent job. It has a very friendly atmosphere and Mary has you completely at ease during the visit. Bronagh is also a great hygieniest. A couple of treatments by her saved me at least €1,000 (amount quoted by another dentist to get my gum disease sorted!!) They also ring you the day before to remind you about your upcoming visit - the call only takes a minute but it is great to be reminded as I tend to forget my appointments :-)
