Prof. Dr. A P Chitre is an eminent personality in the field of Dental education with more than 47 years of experience. He completed his BDS from Nair Dental College, Mumbai, India in 1962 and subsequently his MDS in 1965 from Nair Dental College under Dr. M.S.N. Ginwalla and got an opportunity to study under Dr. E. Kruger in 1971-72. He received his advance training in West Germany, U.K, Czechoslovakia, Switzerland & U.S.A. He is one of the pioneers of Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India.
