Dr Jane Butterworth has been practising dentistry for almost 30 years, after gaining her qualifications in 1984. Since then Jane has trained and worked throughout the Midlands, Northwest and Europe, providing excellent dentistry for her many satisfied clients. She has had articles published both in scientific journals and renowned life style publications. Her main area of expertise is restorative dentistry, which could comprise of crowns, implants and veneers to create beautiful smiles.

Jane has been placing and restoring implants since 1990 and has over 20 years’ experience. Her implant treatments range from single tooth replacement to full mouth rehabilitation including the much publicised “All on 4” and same day teeth. She also offers the simple mini implant system for patients requiring denture stabilisation using a less invasive procedure which is relatively less expensive.

Jane has a keen interest in orthodontics and has been treating orthodontic cases since 1992. She is able to provide both removable, fixed braces and Invisalign aligners. She has been Invisalign certified since 2004 and has treated over three hundred patients with the Invisalign brace system. She has held Platinum status accreditation with Invisalign for the past 7 years.

Jane takes the time to get to know each and every one of her clients, whether your dental problem relates to decay, missing teeth, a crooked smile or gum problems. Jane has extensive experience and knowledge in many specialised areas of dentistry. She will take the time to discuss all your options to create a personalised treatment plan to suit your specific needs and desires, while ensuring that you are in the utmost comfort and are completely happy with the results.

Jane is a member of the BDA (British Dental Association), ADI (Association of Dental Implantology), BAAD (British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry).

Michelle joined the practice in 2007 as a trainee dental nurse and successfully attained her qualifications in March 2008.

She has worked hard to achieve her promotion to Senior Dental Nurse, assisting in all aspects of dental procedure from routine examinations, orthodontics, Invisalign and full surgical procedures. She is an integral part of the team here at Higher Lane Dental.

Frances qualified from the University of Manchester with a BSc in oral health science in 2003 dually qualifying to practice as a dental hygienist and therapist. She has been with the practice since 2007.

She carries out a wide range of preventative and restorative treatments from simple to advanced gum disease, fillings and fissure sealants. She is also trained to carry out tooth whitening procedures such as Zoom 2.She is experienced with nervous patients, helping them overcome fear and anxiety in the dental chair.

Frances is a member of the British association of dental therapists and attends regular post-graduate courses to keep up to date with latest research and best practice.

Amy joined our team in April 2011 as a trainee nurse via the cadet scheme, very quickly we saw her potential and we now employ her as a full time Junior Dental Nurse.

After studying hard Amy has recently passed her NVQ level 3 in Dental Nursing!

Amy dedicates all of her spare time to her passion, her horse. Every morning and evening you will find her at the stables tending to Poppy.

Louise joined the team on a part time basis in 2009, she now only works on Thursday when she arranges our accounts and payroll.

Louise has a young family and enjoys the work life balance that she has been able to achieve working at Higher Lane Dental.
