What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are anti-aging products that are injected into the skin of patients to add volume. They are injected to make skin that is sagging or has become wrinkled because of age look smooth and plump. They are also called injectable facial fillers, injectable cosmetic fillers or soft tissue fillers.  They are made of hyaluronic acid taken from animals or from the fat of the patient. It takes five minutes to an hour to perform dermal filler procedures.

Dermal fillers last from six months to five years. They are not permanent and are absorbed by the skin over time.  

Is the administration of Dermal Fillers painful?

Local anaesthetic is applied to the skin before dermal filler injections are administered. Patients should wait one week after getting dermal fillers injected before travelling by air. Air travel can aggravate the swelling and bruising that may occur after dermal fillers are injected.   

How long does recovery take after the administration of Dermal Fillers?

Recovery from dermal filler injections may take seven to fourteen days. Recovery depends on each individual patient.  

What after care is required after the administration of Dermal Fillers?

Patients should avoid smoking and drinking alcohol until any swelling has subsided. They should avoid touching their face for at least one day. They should avoid going in direct sunlight for at least two days. They should drink plenty of water after the treatment. They should not get any beauty treatments done on their face for at least a week. They should avoid strenuous exercises and lifting heavy objects for at least a month. They should avoid blood thinning medications for a few weeks.  Patients should perform facial exercises for a few hours after the procedure.

I was so happy to come for my first procedure but also nervous and not even sure what I needed.I was made to feel really secure and there was never any pressure for me to get anything done at all. I eventually chose 1.7ml lip Filler. It was the best decision. I am really happy with my results but they are actually better than I thought was possible. The lip filler I adore and afterwards I even wanted more. It meant the world to me when I came back and asked for more and I was told that iI didnt need it at that time, how many practitioners would just take your cash and keep filling you up!!? But not here, and I realise it's because Qualis Aesthetics are proud of their work, the beauty they enhance and would rather you are walking around beautiful than take money off you for things you don't need. Topical treatment for skin condition Melasma with Dr Raj Thethi. I chose Good Skin Days due to its fantastic reputation for Safety in beauty. In the past, I had a bad experience with an aesthetic treatment so understood all too well the importance of choosing a highly trained and highly knowledgeable practitioner. It was also important for me to visit a clinic that would know how to treat me if things did not go quite to plan. With every topical medication and aesthetic treatment, there are side effects that patients may, unfortunately, an experience that can't always be avoided. Unfortunately, I experienced an allergic reaction to one of the medications I was prescribed, when I contacted the clinic I was reviewed quickly over the phone and seen in clinic that day. Dr Raj assessed me and was very reassuring, he was able to prescribe me medications I needed to promptly treat the allergy without me having to wait for an appointment with my own GP. My symptoms reduced quickly and I was supported throughout this time. I was reviewed again a few days later to check that my symptoms were responding well to treatment. I can't emphasise enough how important it is if you are considering any kind of treatment to ensure the clinic you are visiting pride themselves on patient safety.

Christmas miracle! After being in agony for days calling endless dentists for days and being told they had no availability until new year, bearing in mind my pain started around the 22nd dec. I finally came across crofts on Christmas Eve. They booked me in for part 1 of a root canal and completely took me out of pain. Coming in on Christmas Eve after hours. Completely out of their way. Super friendly and really reasonable price. Can’t recommend these guys enough. 10/10 thank you.
