I have been with Mairead since I experienced a major cognitive burnout in February brought about by various mental health issues and self-limiting beliefs. The change that has happened for me since our sessions has been monumental. I cannot recommend Mairead highly enough, she is kind, compassionate and supremely professional in her approach. She had endless patience with me as I worked through my issues and I never felt rushed. She has provided me with fantastic tools that I can use outside of our sessions to empower me to manage those moments where I can feel my anxiety and panic rising. Throughout my adult life, I have struggled with depression and anxiety and was always reluctant to seek help. Lately, though I was really struggling to cope from day to day so decided to go for counselling. I made contact with James and arranged an appointment. From the very start, James made me feel welcome and relaxed. It was the first time in a long while I actually felt understood. His ability to listen and empathise really helped me to open up on my issues. Over the coming weeks, James used various techniques to help me challenge my irrational thoughts which we're adding to my anxiety. During one of our sessions, James said something that really stuck with me. He said, "To appreciate the light, first we must learn to sit in the dark." This helped me realise that although I may still suffer bouts of depression, they will pass. Looking back I am so glad that I went to counselling. My sessions with James have really helped and I now feel that I am much more able to cope with life's issues. A person really capable of healing anything troubling you. Had an amazing experience of 5 months counselling service from her! She is so warm and such a good listener. Makes you totally comfortable in sharing your thoughts and keeps talks 100 per cent confidential. Just don't give it a second thought! She is the best.
