About Airedale Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic

The Airedale Physiotherapy and Sport Injury Clinic is a private facility that accepts self-referrals for assessment and treatment. The clinic also takes referrals from local G.P. and Orthopedic Consultants based at Airedale General Hospital, Yorkshire Clinic and Gisburn Park. Their staffs provide treatment for musculoskeletal conditions like arthritis, trauma to soft tissue and bone, acute low back pain, post-operative rehabilitation, knee and hip replacement, and sports injuries. After a full assessment to diagnose the problem, the following treatments are used - manipulation and mobilisation, massage, traction, exercise, and electrical treatments. The clinic introduced the ABC programme in response to the increasing problem of lower back pain. The programme aimed to provide school children with adequate information to adopt and lead a positive lifestyle that would reduce the risk of developing an unhealthy spine and to introduce a ‘back friendly’ school environment.
