Prabhu is a highly experienced chartered physiotherapy consultant registered with the Health Professions Council. In over 10 years of professional practice, he has gained expertise in various specialities of physiotherapy, particularly neuro-musculoskeletal conditions, gait and biomechanical analysis, vestibular rehabilitation as well as positional vertigo.
Prabhu earned his Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy in 2002 from the Christian Medical College & Hospital (CMCH), an internationally renowned 2000+ bedded multi-speciality mission hospital and research institution in India. During his stint there, he was a rotational resident intern in the eight speciality units of physiotherapy involving orthopaedics & musculo-skeletal, neurology, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, spinal rehab units and various ICU units.
Following that, Prabhu went on to lend his professional skills and ingenuity to the 150-bedded Salvation Army Mission Hospital in Ahmednagar, India where in 2003, he started a new physiotherapy department. During this time, he was in charge of both clinical practice and administration, covering in-patient, Outpatient and ICU services.
In 2005, Prabhu travelled to Bahrain where he worked as a sports physiotherapist for a national league sports club in Manama for 2 years, specialising in various sports injury rehabilitation. Following this, he completed a Masters degree in Physiotherapy with Merit from the University of East London, UK during which he conducted research studies in 3D motion (gait/movement) analysis. Since then, he has engaged in private practice, managing musculo-skeletal and orthopaedic conditions including sports injuries, spinal rehab, gait analysis, orthotic therapy, exercise therapy and electrotherapy.
Prabhu strongly believes in client health education, preventive health care, and a holistic, hands-on therapeutic approach with the utilization of electrotherapy modalities as and when necessary to alleviate pain, and to promote health and function.
