Mr Nick Gardiner
Biography:
In May 2012, Nick graduated from his PGCHE course with a distinction and is currently doing his PhD in biomechanics and ACL injury prevention. He has had his work on Sports Therapy assessments published in a 2010 article for the education journal Investigations in university teaching and learning, has written a chapter for a new Sports Therapy textbook and made contributions to Brukner and Khan’s 2012 edition of the seminal textbook, Clinical Sports Medicine. Nick has also written for Cooler Magazine, which combined his passion for surfing with sports therapy in an article outlining the most common injuries in the sport. Nick led Fit For Sport through to the final 3 of F.I.G’s London entrepreneur competition, winning a year’s business consultancy for his pitch in front of the venture capitalists. In September 2012, Nick gave an interview on Radio 5Live providing his expert opinion on the controversy surrounding Owen Hargreaves’s injuries at Manchester United.
