Mr. Oscar M. Lopez is chairman and chief executive officer concurrently of Benpres Holdings Corporation (Benpres) and First Philippine Holdings (First Holdings) Corporation. Benpres is the publicly-listed holding company of the Lopez family for investments in major sectors of the Philippine economy, namely: broadcasting and cable; telecommunications; power generation and distribution; infrastructure, property development, information technology and health care delivery. In turn, First Holdings is the holding company for investments in power generation and distribution.

Dr. Felipe Tolentino is AEI’s President and Medical Director. He is a member of the Harvard Medical School faculty, Senior Clinical Scientist at the Schepens Eye Research Institute at Harvard, Senior Surgeon in Ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston and Vitro-retinal Consultant at Tufts University Medical Center/New England eye Center also in Boston. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed papers in Ophthalmology, published in prestigious medical journals in the U.S. He is also well known for his inventions, and is an internationally recognized teacher.

Dr. Robert Ang is AEI's refractive surgeon. He performs laser eye surgery for patients with nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism who wish to decrease their dependence on glasses or contact lenses. He is the only doctor in the Philippines to have finished two subspecialty programs at the Massachussets Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School (Glaucoma and Cornea and Refractive Surgery). He completed his medical degree through the highly selective seven-year INTRAMED course at the University of the Philippines. He has authored several book chapters and international publications on refractive surgery and glaucoma. His special interest inlcudes Zyoptix customized LASIK, LASEK, PRK, dry eye, corneal transplantations, cataract and complicated anterior segment surgeries. He is the Philippine representative to the Asian Refractive Committee - a prestigious group of laser eye surgeons representing each country in Asia whose objective is to advance the science of refractive surgery in the region.
