Doctor Biography:
Dr. Manju Meena, is a graduate from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. She did MS in Ophthalmology from Guru Nanak Eye Centre, MAMC, New Delhi. Later, she did long term fellowship in Oculoplasty, Ocular Oncology & Facial Aesthetics from L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad (India). She also worked as an Oculoplastic consultant at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Visakhapatnam. She went to Australia to pursue long term International fellowship in Oculoplasty from Sydney Eye Hospital, Sydney.
She also worked as a research assistant in Sydney eye hospital and organized several teaching workshops and wetlabs for registrars and nursing staff at Sydney Eye Hospital, and Sydney University, Australia. She took part in various community services in India and abroad, which includes, Motiyabind Mukti Abhiyan" (Cataract Free Delhi) in the years 2005-2008, organized by the government of Delhi. She also participated in MTNL perfect health mela, Oct.2005, organised by Heart Care Foundation of India and Municipal Corporation of Delhi. She also worked as a Ophthalmologist in LIFE-LINE EXPRESS of the Impact India Foundation- a hospital on a train at Jaiselmer (Rajasthan) in Oct. 2006. She also served for 2 months in community service at a secondary eye care centre of LV Prasad Eye Institute at Mudhol and Thoodukurthy (A.P) in 2010. She was actively involved with the Oculoplasty team of Syndey Eye Hospital in the community based Wachet Eye programme, Myanmar in October 2013.
She has published in several national and international peer reviwed journals. She has presented in various national and international ophthalmology conferences. Dr. Manju Meena is a editorial board member of Plastic and Aesthetic research Journal. She is a reviewer of the Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery journal. Her areas of interest involves eyelid reconstructions, orbital fractures, orbital tumors and aesthetics.
She has won several awards in the field of Oculoplasty and Ocular Oncology-
