Cottam and Cottam Dental Surgery

Dr Gillian Cottam qualified from Birmingham Dental Hospital with honours in 1978. After three years working at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, in general dental practice and at the Dental Hospital as a registrar in Oral Surgery. Gillian was awarded a Fellowship in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons, by examination in 1981 in Edinburgh. Gillian then completed two years full time training in Orthodontics and was awarded the Dip. Orthodontics R.C.S. England in 1984.She now treats orthodontic patients exclusively, although she is often asked for opinions on other branches of dentistry for accident or insurance claims.

David trained at Birmingham Dental Hospital and qualified in 1979. He was awarded the diploma in General Dental Practice by examination in 1994. He is now a member of the regional faculty committee and a member of the International Association of Implantology. He lectures to final year students and new graduates on implantology and crown and bridgework.David has a great interest and experience in Cosmetic dentistry, advanced crown and bridgework including implants. He is a member of several dental committees including the West Midlands Post Graduate Committee and Birmingham Local Dental Committee. David also works as a part time Clinical Assistant in Oral Surgery at the Birmingham Dental Hospital.
