Dr Adam Glassford is the leading Cosmetic and Implant Dental Surgeon at Andrea Ubhi Dentistry.

Adam Qualified in 1996 from Leeds University with BChD. He has undertaken numerous postgraduate courses.  

Adam is an extremely experienced dental surgeon with a special interest in dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, sedation and facial aesthetics. He holds the Advanced Implant Diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the diploma in Conscious Sedation. Adam has a national reputation in implant dentistry and is one of Straumann’s Leading Dental Implant Providers in the world, providing dental implants for over 18 years and having placed over 6000 dental implants.

Adam won the 'Patient Choice Restorative Case' Award in 2015 Aesthetic Dentistry Awards. He has a relaxed style and is passionate about helping anxious patients to feel at ease.

Stephen dedicates most of his private practice to Minimally Invasive Dentistry and Invisalign, focussing on the treatment of cosmetic dentistry, teeth straightening and tooth surface loss cases.  Stephen is an Invisalign Platinum Provider. He provides veneers, crowns and endodontic surgery in conjunction with our implant and orthodontic team.

Stephen loves to help patients by using digital photography and computer aided design to plan their case and create a virtual smile makeover before treatment starts. He has earned a reputation for attention to detail and often uses a high powered microscope during treatment to increase precision and improve quality.

Stewart qualified as a physiotherapist before going on to graduate in Dentistry in 2013, where he was awarded the prize for Academic Attainment. Stewart was a Senior House Officer in Oral Surgery at Leeds General Infirmary, and later a Clinical Tutor at Leeds Dental Institute, teaching and training dental students. During this time, he completed Part 1 & 2 of the MJDF at the Royal College of Surgeons.

Stewart focuses his time on cosmetic and restorative treatments in private practice, with an emphasis on orthodontics, treating cases with metal, ceramic braces and with clear aligners. He is presently training at the Campbell Academy in Implant Dentistry, with Dr Adam Glassford as his mentor. The experience and knowledge gained from his previous roles allows Stewart to provide an exceptional standard of care to his patients. His approach is preventative and minimally invasive.

Tarun is a Consultant Orthodontist at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.

He completed his dental degree at the University of Bristol in 2011 before his specialist training at Derriford Hospital in the South West. He gained Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, whilst simultaneously completing a Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Bristol between 2014 and 2017. Tarun completed his consultant training at Leeds Dental Institute and York Hospital in 2019 and gained a Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons (FDS(Orth)).

Tarun has won awards for both his clinical and academic achievements. He treats a variety of complex malocclusions with a special interest in the multi-disciplinary management of hypodontia (missing teeth), complex orthodontic-restorative treatment and treatment of patients with complex facial deformity.

Dr Amy is in a unique position of having medically trained as a dentist, studying the anatomy of the head and neck. Dr Amy is a qualified dentist having graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2008.

As well as being a dentist, Dr Amy is qualified and experienced in facial aesthetic treatments in which she has gained Save Face accreditation. Save Face is an independent and impartial accreditation scheme for medical professionals which ensures that every treatment is done to the highest standards of safety and quality as well as give peace of mind to each patient that they are in safe hands.  Amy is also an active member of ACE (Aesthetics Complications Expert group) supporting patient safety in the industry

Tim is a highly experienced dentist with special interests in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics including complex tooth wear cases and dentures, root canal treatment, the treatment of gum disease and sedation.

Tim qualified in 1996 from Newcastle with a distinction in Child Dental Health and Oral Medicine, Pathology and Radiology. He has been working alongside the consultants at Scarborough Hospital for more than 15 years as Clinical Assistant in Restorative Dentistry, helping patients who have been struggling with dentures, resolving restorative dental problems referred by other dentists and doctors, and providing post-cancer treatment.

Tim has also been a Clinical Demonstrator in Restorative Dentistry at Leeds Dental Institute for several years, training undergraduates.

In 2019 Tim was awarded a distinction in his MClinDent in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics from King’s College London. This was a 4-year, double Master’s degree covering all aspects of restorative dentistry including simple fillings, gum disease, root canal therapy, crowns, bridges, dentures, implant-retained prostheses, and the material science underpinning all of these.

He has been invited to become a postgraduate tutor by King’s College for future intakes of candidates.

Felicity is a GDC registered Orthodontic Therapist with 15 years of experience in dentistry. She qualified as an orthodontic therapist through the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2012, gaining her Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy from the University of Central Lancashire.

Prior to qualifying in this role, Felicity gained valuable experience as a dental nurse in various fields of specialist dentistry and gained her Dental Radiography qualification in 2011. 

Felicity works with the orthodontic team, fitting, debonding and adjusting fixed and removable appliances and assists with record taking, including taking radiographs and photographs. 

Felicity continuously increases her knowledge of the world of orthodontics through training courses and through her own research due to personal interest within the subject to ensure she is up to date.

Faye is a multi-award winning and highly experienced GDC Registered Dental Hygienist with a special interest in managing complex periodontal problems and providing pain free Guided Biofilm Therapy.

After graduating from Leeds in 2001, Faye went on to complete the National Certificate in Counselling Skills & Behavioural Therapy in order to offer additional support to those patients with dental anxieties and elevated emotional needs. In 2016, she underwent training in Switzerland to become a certified Swiss Dental Academy Trainer and now delivers education courses on AIRFLOW® and Guided Biofilm Therapy® to fellow professionals within the dental industry.

Faye frequently writes for dental journals, is author of her ‘Ask Faye’ blogs and regularly lectures at dental events both nationally and internationally. She is current chairperson for the North East region of the British Society for Dental Hygienists and Therapists and is a key opinion leader for OralB.

Faye has been voted winner of Best Dental Hygienist UK in 2014 & 2017and voted winner of Dental Hygienist of the Year UK in 2014. She is an experienced and highly motivated Hygienist whose passion lies in delivering high quality, prevention based, patient centred care.

James is our Clinical Dental Technician (CDT) and has over 16 years’ experience in the dental technology field. James qualified as a Dental Technician in 2007 from Leeds Dental Institute. James qualified as a CDT through the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. As a CDT James works directly with patients from the chairside, and creates the dentures himself in the dental laboratory, using advanced denture materials.

James has completed the Ivoclar iDenture course a course for achieving aesthetic full dentures, and looks to achieve the most natural looking dentures with exceptional fit using the most advanced materials.

James works with Implantologist Dr Adam Glassford to provide Same Day Teeth.

After completing her Dental Hygiene Diploma in 2002, Jennie worked within the Army teaching dental nurses and providing dental hygiene. She joined Andrea Ubhi York in 2008 and has a reputation with our patients for her gentle and friendly care. She takes a multi-disciplinary approach with our specialists and dentists, providing hygiene maintenance and support.

Amy graduated as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist from the University of Leeds in 2018. Amy really enjoys staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in oral health practices. She is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapists and has recently completed training on implant care and Invisalign. She provides Professional Teeth Whitening and supports our multi-disciplinary team, working alongside our dentists, treating patients referred for periodontology (gum disease). Amy continues to develop her skills in cosmetic dentistry with postgraduate education in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.

Andrea is multi-award-winning, a small business entrepreneur, director of three companies, author, co-founder of an organisation inspiring women, deeply involved in supporting survivors of trafficking in Nepal, and a motivational speaker.

Andrea grew up in the Lake District and was the first in her whole extended family to take A levels, going on to do dentistry at Leeds, graduating in 1991. 

In the late 1990s, Andrea was blown away by the cosmetic dentistry that was being done in America. It was not like any dentistry that she had seen before. So she went over to learn the skills at an eminent practice in Maddison Avenue, New York. She brought these techniques back to the UK and became one of the pioneering cosmetic dentists in the country.
