John qualified from the university of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in 1996 and prior to establishing Delph Dental Practice worked in Nottingham and Ilkeston.
After leaving university John gained his MFGDP qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons and later was a tutor for the Trent region.
He successfully graduated with the University of Bristol’s Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies in 2003. This course involved 3 years of postgraduate study. John has also twice been a trainer for newly qualified dentists.
John has graduated with distinction with the Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice from the Eastman Dental Institute in London in 2010. This also involved 3 years of postgraduate study.
John has recently been the President of the East-Midlands branch of the British Dental Association. John has been involved in postgraduate teaching of dentists and in the representation and development of dentists in the east-midlands region.
John is interested in all aspects of general practice, with particular interests in restorative dentistry and dentures, John is happy to tackle difficult denture problems and has had successes with people who have previously struggled and been unhappy with their false teeth.
John is very keen for his patients to maintain their own teeth, with the minimum of damage to them, for as long as possible. His philosiphy of treatment is to only ever intervene if this is the best long term option for his patient.
