The next part would be the breast augmentation. This is another procedure that the Mommy Makeover consists. There are many other tastes of moms for this. Some would opt for a combination of breast volume loss and skin excess which would require simultaneous augmentation and breast lift while others would just go with the cosmetic result from the augmentation or breast lift alone. What is breast augmentation anyway? This is a surgery where it implants some breast implants in breasts. The purpose is to make your breasts look good again or possibly even make it look better than the first time. These implants can be of silicone gel or saline. These implants would go to one of the four locations of the breast. These are the pectorals and the breast tissue, below the fascia, the fibrous tissue of the pectoral muscle, in the sub pectoral plane and right beneath the pectoral muscles. The last one needs to remove the muscle off the ribs and surgeons do not usually do this kind of operation. It has a bad effect too because it might move the breast in a deformed fashion. The incisions have their own different locations too. These incisions would depend on the body type and what you would prefer. The first is the inframammary incision which is an incision below the infra-mammary fold. Another is the Periareolar technique which is an incision is an incision around the borders of the areola. Another is an incision in the armpits which is called the Transaxillary. Lastly is the TUBA or Transumbilical. There are actually four areas the implants go to when they are inserted. The first one would be between your pectorals and the breast tissue. The last location would be beneath the pectoral muscle and for your information this is done very rarely. The reason is surgeons would have to remove some muscle off the ribs for it to work. The location of the implants used will depend on what the surgeon would suggest and what the patient would want.
