Areola Reduction: Areolar reduction is usually a simple procedure, performed under local anaesthesia. Once anaesthetised, a donut of excess areola tissue is excised and closure is performed with a permanent buried nylon suture to prevent the areola from stretching again. Recovery is quick and normal activities can be resumed within a few days of surgery. Areolar reduction can be combined with other procedures.
