I had my breast augmentation procedure done in 2011 with Dr Shaw. 5 Years and one baby later, they still have nice and perky breasts. People are often surprised to hear that I have had surgery, as I always get told "I thought you have naturally nice boobs". Prior to this augmentation I had no confidence, my breasts were very saggy and not symmetrical due to scoliosis. Dr Shaw gave sound advice on how to rectify my problem, he explained the whole surgery in detail to me, and also always took a lot of time to answer any questions when I had consultations with him. I would recommend his work any time. Since I had it done my quality of life has improved 100%, I would urge anyone thinking about breast augmentation to have it done as soon as possible with this doctor. Dr Shaw's work is second to none. Many many thanks to him and his professional team. I chose this clinic because my mom had had her face lift done there, and she was very impressed with Dr Shaw, his work on her was also excellent. His clinic is clean, neat and modern. It's not too big that you feel like a lost cow on a cattle ranch, but spacious enough for comfortable recovery. To this day Dr Shaw's rooms and operating there have been the best hospital facility I have seen and been in.Enhanced my self-image and self-confidenceCatherine, South Africa, 04 Nov 15
I had breast lift done as well as breast implants. Dr Shaw advised on what would work best for my body and he done an amazing job. The operation enhanced my self-image and self-confidence so much. I would recommend Dr Shaw to anyone, he is a very talented doctor and always makes you feel relaxed and comfortable.
I have scoliosis, so the abnormal lateral curvature of the spine caused my breast to develop uneven, my one nipple was 5cm lower than my other one. Also over the years I had gained and lost some weight causing stretch marks and sagging of breasts. I just felt at 27 years of age to have breasts that were full of stretch marks, uneven and saggy was embarrassing and made me feel very insecure about myself.
The best parts was of course the end result. But other than that, i would say the way Dr Shaw and his staff treated me was great. I likes
His clinic was amazing, it's actually enjoyable to be there, because it feels so comfortable but still has a very modern edge to it.
I also liked Dr Shaws honest and informative approach. The fact that he was very honest and told me what he could and could not do. In my case he had told me that i would need more than one surgery as it was more reconstructive surgery rather than just a normal breast enlargement or lift that i needed to have done. It ended up that i needed to have 3 operations done in one year to get my breasts looking the way we had planned. The worst part was probably the pain of the three operations. And with every operation the disappointment that there had to be a next one, but he had told me that perhaps we will be very lucky and i will only need one operation, but every time improvements could be done that could not have been foreseen with the previous op." Dr Shaw's operating rooms are clean and modern but have a very comfortable feel about it. You are well looked after before and after the surgery, Dr Shaw and nurses are around all the time to keep you comfortable and assist if needed.
"As Dr Shaw told me, ""don't do it for other people, do it for yourself and if you not doing it for yourself, then you should not be considering doing this"" I think this is very true because you might end up resenting a partner sending you because he likes big breast and perhaps you don't. -So do it for yourself.
And know that things do and can go wrong, as Dr Shaw explained to me, you could lose a nipple, you might get very bad infection, your body could reject the saline implants, there are so many risks and you need to know them to be able to make an informed decision so that you can not blame the doctor or anyone else if there are complications like these that happen. So make sure you very well informed on everything that could possibly go wrong. You need to remember that doctors can also not foresee what will go wrong on an operating table or how your body will react after the surgery, it's a risk- it's always a risk and you need to take responsibility.."
I paid more than most people would for my breasts but Dr Shaw is one of the more expensive plastic/reconstructive surgeons but he is also one of the best. I think when you do something that is literally changing you, your body, you can not try and take short cuts by going to the cheapest doctor. If you want to do that then rather don't have surgery done, because i do think-and have seen, that you get what you pay for. I paid a lot but I also have a great end result to show for it.
