A friend and myself visited Dr Oliver today for allergy/intolerance testing. Very impressed both with his professionalism and the depth of his knowledge - not happy with the results though, finding out you're lactose intolerant and can't have milk is not good news for a chocoholic!!! Joking aside he was able to shed light on a lot of issues for my friend and I, and hopefully changing our diets will, I am sure, lead to improved health for us both. Would definitely recommend Dr Oliver.

In addition, we are qualified Sports Therpists, affiliated to the Sports Therapy Organisation. Working primarily from our dedicated treatment room in St Albans, Hertfordshire, we also offer a mobile service visiting clients (subject to access and parking). Alternatively, we are available through the BodyBalance Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic within the Hertfordshire Sports Village at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield. I am a Systematic Kinesiologist - this involves using your arm and leg muscles as indicators for your body as the muscles are connected to organs and Chinese Meridiens.   Through this mechanism I can detect imbalances and, more importantly, what will help correct them - on 4 levels - emotional, chemical, structural and energetical.  I offer a 15 minute free consultation so we can chat about the treatment and you can experience it briefly before committing to treatments.  I treat a range of emotional issues, stuff to do with weight control, mind over matter, motivation, phobias, life limiting behaviours.  Also on a physical level, muscle pain, food sensitivity, nutritional deficiency, lack of energy (or controlling too much energy), gut problems, bloating, bowel issues.   I use bach flowers in my treatments and also a range of nutritional supplements. I also treat the body through the feet with Reflexology.  This is wonderful for stress relief, skin disorders, pregnancy related issues, gut problems - in fact just about anything. Other treatments include Natural Face Lift Massage (divine.!) Swedish Massage, Reiki and Ayurvedic Foot Massage....

We call your first visit - the Initial Consultation New Patient Forms When entering the clinic our receptionists will greet you and welcome you to our practice. We will request you fill our new patient health forms. The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and the medical questionnaire section will help us establish your past medical history and give us details about your current condition. Consultation During the consultation you will be asked more detailed questions about your condition, relevant past medical conditions, your lifestyle (what you do for a living and how much exercise you take etc). This is important information which allows us to determine what stresses and strains in your life can be playing a role in causing your condition. Certain underlying medical conditions like previous surgery, arthritis, are relevant either as contributing factors to your complaint or in determining what treatment techniques are suitable for you. Examination We will then move on to the examination. This will focus on checking your posture, assessing your spinal joint (or other joint) movements and testing your nerve function. Muscle strength tests are used to identify areas of weakness. Blood pressure readings are taken to get an overall health picture. Report of Findings The nature and cause of your problem will be explained in detail (report of findings) as well as what treatment you will need (including how many treatments you are likely to need).
