Welcome to the Kings Heath - Affordable Acupuncture uk Clinic My aim is to make acupuncture affordable for everyone. I have been practising Traditional Five Element Acupuncture since 2001, I am fully insured and registered with the British Acupuncture Council with a LicAc license and BA (Hons) degree. My charges are £25 per treatment, which is achieved by patients completing a consultation sheet on arrival - saving 20-30 minutes on treatment time, which reduces my booking times - and also take a sheet home with them to complete periodically inbetween visits.  Patients tend to appreciate this as it helps them to be more involved in their own health and well being, this has a twofold effect as it helps me with the appropriate choice of treatment protocol for each individual patient through the effects of treatment inbetween visits. The Elland Well Being Centre is a newly refurbished centre, having previously been a pub in its hey day.  It is found just at the bend down Briggate in Elland, before the road goes over the bridge towards Brighouse and Sowerby Bridge. The acupuncture room is found on the first floor up a flight of stairs.  It is well furnished with a physiotherapy plinth which allows patients to get on easily, whether they are seated or laid down for treatment.  There is a small waiting area just outside the room on the first floor. The Centre has its own dedicated car part for service users with a disabled space.  Service users then access the Centre via the Entrance there, which has a buzzer system  to let people in outside office hours. At the front of the Centre there is a cafe which is open to members of the public and a small waiting area for day time appointments.  There is a reception area to the front but this is just for the physiotherapy staff only. Appointments are made by telephoning Balquees Ali or emailing. Appointments in Elland are available on Thursdays 9.00 am to 9.00pm.   I also have acupuncture clinics in Huddersfield and Halifax.         

Ying Liu  Acupuncturist and Herbalist ? 8 years training in medical school ? Bachelor of medicine, MSc in Internal Medicine? Registered doctor in China? Fluent English speaker? Over 20 years of clinical experience Ying Liu went to medical school to train in both Western and Chinese medicine for 8 years and gained Masters degree in Internal Medicine.  Ying's approach in the clinic is to integrate the best of both Chinese and modern Western medicine. Her holistic approach is to tackle the root of the problem. Ying believes using the twin lenses of the Chinese and Western medical systems makes us more effective doctors and can contribute to improved clinical outcomes. With over 20 years of clinical experience from working in the hospital in China and as Chinese medicine practitioner in the UK, Ying holds a high level of expertise in many areas from general well being to cancer support. Her main areas of interest are women’s health, infertility, autoimmune disorders, rheumatism etc.

Patrick Harnett LicAc is a highly educated and experienced acupuncture specialist. He holds a special interest in treating infertility problems and back pain.

Clare Trohear trained for 4 years at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York, one of the foremost educational and research institutions for acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in the UK.Claire is a fully registered member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).The BAcC maintains common standards of ethics, discipline and practice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the public at all times.Since qualifying for practice, Clare has undertaken research in the field of acupuncture and has been awarded the qualification of an MSc in Acupuncture by the University of Wales.Clare Trohear trained as a Registered General Nurse , qualifying in 1992, and has worked in various fields within the NHS.
