Mr Matt Elgar
Job Title:
Physiotherapist Biography:
He had two very significant injuries in his twenties; a slipped disc in his lower back, and a severe ligamentous injury to his shoulder. The disc was caused by alternating between competitive squash-playing in the evening and sitting down at work all day in an office with poor posture and getting stiff. The shoulder was injured after slipping up on ice and landing awkwardly – being attached to a Snowboard high up in the Canadian Rockies and being the worst Snowboarder in history might have had something to do with the severity of his injury.
Both of these injuries involved years of pain and problems – they still show themselves from time to time, even now twenty years on.
