I had a fantastic experience with this dental clinic. It took me 7 years to build up the courage to even go for a check up but ended up getting two big fillings done because Conor and Lorna were so understanding of my anxiety. They talked me through everything and even held my hand at the start which really helped. I felt so comfortable I even asked to get the teeth whitening option. The girls at reception were also so caring and put my mind at ease. I never thought I'd be able to fix my teeth but I can now go so far as to say I no longer have anxiety about dentists. I will be going again to get my wisdom teeth out soon, something I never imagined would be possible.
Finished my treatment today I am so happy. Dr Shahin was my dentist. As an over 60 I was terrified of seeing a dentist again after a long absence. He was so understanding of my situation and put me at ease from the beginning. I can now smile again. They have seen it all and when you explain your background they understand. I received excellent dental and gum care recently (2nd March 2023) when I attended the Gate Clinic, Galway, for Oral Hygiene (Prophylaxis) assessment and treatment. Very efficient Customer Care was provided by Claire, at Reception, who processed my appointment, informed me of any pre-visit necessities, welcomed me at Reception and confirmed my dental booking. This ensured a relaxed atmosphere existed prior to my procedure which was very welcome. The Dental Hygienist, Blaithin, and Dental Nurse, Patricia, were both very helpful and informative regarding the Oral Hygiene assessment and why it is vital to keep the teeth and gums clean and well maintained. The Oral Hygiene procedure was carried out in a very careful, pain-free, thorough and efficient manner where each stage was discussed and a mirror held to show me the gums being worked on. Essential details of how I could more effectively carry out the required daily oral hugiene completed the visit. Very happy to report a satisfying dental appointment where Customer Satisfaction was considered at all times. Excellent time and attention was given by all those I dealt with at the Gate Clinic, from Claire at Reception to the Oral Hygienist, Blaithin, and Dental Nurse, Patricia. I’m a nervous patient with gum disease. Due to Covid, it had been nearly a year since my last visit to the hygienist. I was expecting pain and discomfort and the usual lecture. Well, I was wrong.. Shauna, the hygienist, was amazing… I got pain-free but thoroughly clean and polished. The usual advice was delivered in sympathetic, non-hectoring tones. I’ll be back!
Had great treatment done under sedation here & wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. However, they have since stopped offering this service which has lead to a lot of difficulties finding a dentist that now does it.
I began my appointments with Nick over 2 years ago. It was several years since I had been to any dentist and I just did not know where to start. From the moment I met Nick and the team I felt at ease and confident that I was in the best of care. Nick is a complete expert and visionary in his field, not to mention a perfectionist. I trusted him fully with every step of the process and committed myself to this wonderful clinic. I received numerous extensive treatments including crown, implant, extractions and orthodontic treatment. It was the best decision I ever made and I am over the moon with my lovely new smile and healthy teeth. An absolute credit to the dental profession and an asset to any patient who is in a position to choose this clinic.

Great Clinic. Very popular hence long waiting lists but the Receptionist will always fit you in early using the Cancellation lists. Very good diagnostic and all Treatments use the latest technologies and are excellent, we had most of them over the years. My, I and family have been using Alexandra Dental for 12 years. They are wonderful with children and have the TV on the ceilings for them to watch during treatments. Highly recommended.
