About Phoenix Counselling & Therapy Service
Taking the first step towards emotional
well-being can feel daunting, especially when faced with the pain and
complexity of trauma or unresolved childhood experiences. As a client-centred
therapist with 20 years of experience working with Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder (PTSD), I am committed to placing you at the very centre of your
healing journey. Your needs, your pace, and your story shape our work together.
The client-centred model of therapy means that I am led by you—offering support
and understanding as you explore yourself, life transitions, and the
challenges that arise from early childhood experiences. I recognise how these
experiences can deeply influence how we see ourselves, how we relate to others,
and how we move through the world. Sometimes, these patterns lead to mental
health difficulties, self-doubt, and emotional distress. Healing begins with
awareness. Together, we can gently examine the impact of your past and present
experiences, always working at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
My approach is compassionate and collaborative, aiming to create a supportive
environment where you can understand yourself more fully and develop healthier,
more fulfilling ways of living. Life’s transitions—such as entering adulthood,
experiencing loss, or navigating relationship changes—can cause our emotions to
fluctuate and sometimes overwhelm us. If you are considering taking the next
step towards understanding your emotional life and fostering self-development,
I invite you to reach out. Whether you prefer a call or an email, your enquiry
is welcome, and together we can explore how therapy might support your unique
journey.
How I work
With two decades of experience
addressing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), I recognize how challenging
it can be to grasp the effects that past traumas have on our everyday lives. My
work also examines the influence of both early childhood and adult experiences
on our conditioning, exploring how these shape our self-perception and the ways
we live according to learned patterns.
