"I would highly recommend Mairead as a professional counselor"

Treatment Received: Counselling
Thinking about Counselling and picking up the phone to make an appointment with any counsellor is a difficult brave decision not to mention going through the door of their office for anyone. After trying everything I could by myself to get through a huge traumatic experience and getting nowhere I felt I needed some professional help and someone to talk to outside of my family and friends. I had tried counselling before but felt I had a bad experience as not all counsellor's suit our needs. That's why I feel it's very important to check out what type of counselling you need and to have a good working professional connection with the counsellor you feel is right for you with what ever issues you bring. Initial contact with Mairead was easy and she got back with a quick reply. Feeling indecisive whether or not to go ahead with my appointment on meeting her I was soon put at ease. I found her very attentive and she really listened to what I had to say with warmth and understanding. Mairead helped by offering me a safe confidential space each week to make sense of it all. She was flexible around appointment times as work commitments can be varied. By gently talking my issues throughout with her things became clearer. She taught me to see things from a different perspective. I learned to take control of my feelings. Her compassionate and knowledgeable insight had shown me it was not my fault for the traumatic experience I have had. Her approach was amazing. As a professional counsellor Mairead is a supportive, encouraging , understanding soul who seems to Care for all her clients. With her guidance through this process with insight and humor I now have the courage and hope to reaffirm my value and worth. I have never looked back.. Change is painful. Growth is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong. I would highly recommend Mairead as a professional counsellor.

It only takes one person to change your life. Mairead has certainly changed mine.

"I have my life back better than it was before"
5 50Reviewed 19 Nov 2016 Review verified by phone.
Treatment Received: Counselling
I found it hard to put pen to paper to write this for one fear only, that my words would not do justice to the wonderful
Professional Mairead is. I started going to Mairead because I was ashamed of how I was behaving towards and treating my
Husband and children, I was angry all the time.
I was so anxious before my first session, embarrassed too.... What would I say, how would I explain myself, would I sound
Silly..... All of those fears literally disappeared before I finished my first session. Mairead accepted everything I said to
Be "Real & valid" she took me on a journey of self acceptance. I experienced and explored every single feeling I had at my
Own pace and comfort. I came away from every session feeling lighter, ready for the next day, hopeful even, something I haven't
Felt in a long long time. Mairead helped me to own my 'ownstuff' and accept what stuff wasn't mine !
One of the greatest things Mairead opened my mind to is 'breaking it down' I actually had fun learning this new way of
Life we had some laughs I have to say with this one, but it became and still is one of the most important things I have
In my tool belt to this day. Unknown to me this was the breakthrough I needed to help me understand and control my anxiety,
Something I never thought I could do. I apply it to every situation I need to, whenever I feel tight this loosens me out.
Mairead was lighthearted when I needed a laugh, comforting and caring when I needed a soft touch, confident and empowering
When I needed a push and complimentary when I needed a pat on the back.
Time, fears, worry, anger and low self esteem used to control me now I control these feelings. Mairead didn't change my life
She empowered me to change it and more importantly empowered me to control it. I wake up a different person now, happy and
Hopeful. I used to be surprised when I had a good day, there were so few, now im surprised and aware when I have a bad day.
I have my life back, better than it was before, thanks to Mairead and I will forever be grateful to her for that.

"Mairead is understanding and helps you to overcome your issues"
5 50Reviewed 29 Oct 2016 Review verified by phone and email.
Treatment Received: Counselling
I have been attending counselling sessions with Mairead for over two years on a weekly basis. The sessions with Mairead have been a brilliant experience. At the beginning I couldn't see the benefits but as time went on I realised how much I use and depend on the sills I gained from counselling. I would recommend counselling to anybody and have no problem telling people that I attend counselling. Your problems do not have to be dealt with alone. Any pain, suffering and emotions can be shared with Mairead in a professional setting. Mairead is understanding and helps you to overcome your issues.

Help is at hand, you are not alone!
