Unit 3 Town Centre Mall, Main Street, Maynooth
Welcome to Maynooth Counselling and Psychotherapy, Maynooth’s most established private practice of qualified professional counsellors. Our counsellors cater to the wide range of emotional, psychological and relational issues presented and work with children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. The centre itself was set up nearly 10 years ago by two therapists Evanna Lyons and Antonia Colom who saw a need for private counselling in the Maynooth area. The practice has since grown to include four qualified and caring therapists who endeavor to adhere to best practice at all times and keep updated on the latest training and continuous professional development. Life can be difficult at times.  Life events such as bereavement, divorce or job losses can cause you to become anxious or depressed.  You may have experienced trauma in your past which is still causing you pain today. Perhaps you are coping with a loved one's addiction or other mental illness.  When life is challenging it can feel as if you are just existing from one crisis to the next.  It takes courage to admit you are struggling and need help to cope. Talking to friends can help but sometimes you might need something more.  Family and friends can struggle to remain objective in the face of your pain and distress. Talking through your difficulties with a trusted therapist in a confidential, non-judgemental setting allows you the space to gain a clearer understanding and acceptance of yourself and helps you to make changes and decisions that enrich your life. My practice is located in Sallins, Co. Kildare where I offer one-to-one therapy with individuals aged 18 and over. I have day time and evening sessions strictly by appointment only.

Scully Counselling and Psychotherapy

Hello, I’m Eimear Scully and I’ve been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist in Leixlip village for almost 15 years. I have a depth of knowledge and experience in many areas including childhood trauma, attachment, co-dependency, adoption, relationships, difficult dynamics within family relationships, workplace issues, stress, anxiety, feelings of hopelessness, depression, existential and transpersonal issues. I'm trained to be able to help you process whatever issue is troubling you. If you’ve been feeling stuck, confused or alone these feelings are more common than you may realise. It helps to understand, process and reframe the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that have brought you here and how we can work to resolve them together. I believe that each person is completely unique and will require an individual treatment approach. While I’m trained in person-centred integrative therapy, I also have extensive experience using mindfulness based approaches to build personal awareness and the life skills you will need to effectively deal with whatever arises in your life. Get in touch and together we can discuss what it is your hoping to achieve from therapy and we can build the positive conditions for the life you truly want to live.
