Philippa Ba (hons) is a fully registered and accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist working in Athenry. She considers that people come to counselling because there is something about their life that they want to change, this could be for many reasons ….. to improve a relationship, to become more assertive, to stop feeling stressed all the time, to name but a few. However sometimes clients just come to talk about something that is bothering them and the counsellor gives them time and space in a confidential and safe environment without any judgement, these may include issues such as a loss, a life transition, a traumatic event. No issue is too large or too small, counselling is about what matters to the individual client. Philippa works in a person centred way, focusing on each client as an individual with unique counselling needs. Philippa is also qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Complicated Grief Therapy. The cost is €80 for an hour session.

Michelle Gunning is a fully qualified Art Psychotherapist with MA level qualification from Crawford College of Art and Design, CIT, Cork. Michelle is also qualified in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Play Therapy (CTC) and has research and training experience in Pre and Perinatal Psychotherapy, Attachment and Trauma, Group Leadership and Spiritual Healing.

Some of the issues include If you feel you would benefit from short term help in dealing with your immediate difficulties or perhaps you feel you need more long term counselling to deal with past trauma that may be interfering with how you feel about yourself now, then I can help you. Client's welfare is my priority and  I am committed to providing a warm, safe, confidential and respectful space for each and every person who comes through my door. I offer a free 30 minute consultation in order to give you an opportunity to meet me in person, where I can answer any questions or concerns you may have about therapy.
