We have been providing counselling in Malahide and surrounding areas for the last 10 years. At Tree of Life you are guaranteed a therapist that is compassionate, experienced and a highly trained helper.

Our team of professionals is here to provide a safe & non-judgemental environment. Helping you to reach your therapy goals and empowering you to explore, discover and clarify ways of living more resourcefully towards greater wellbeing.

Experiences of Stress, Anxiety, Bereavement, Addiction, Depression, Low Self-Esteem and Relationship issues are some of the many reasons why it may be of benefit to talk to a professional counsellor/psychotherapist. It can be of great support in times of crisis and change.

What is Counselling/Psychotherapy?

Counselling/Psychotherapy is for anybody that may like to discuss concerns, problems or crises with an impartial and objective professional. 'Talk Therapy' encourages greater self awareness and reinforces the healthy aspects of you also.

Both Counselling and Psychotherapy involve the provision of listening, evaluating and providing professional assistance to people who are experiencing personal issues, in order to help alleviate those difficulties. Counselling tends to deal with more immediate issues that may have arisen recently, e.g. bereavement or relationship breakdown. Psychotherapy tends to deal with deeper, more long-term issues that can perhaps be rooted in the past and have links with feelings, behaviours and issues that are on going. Patterns can be developed over time as a way of coping and by becoming more aware of these patterns that are perhaps no longer useful, change becomes possible. The terms for the counselling and psychotherapy approaches overlap and are often used interchangeably. They incorporate the giving of attention and respect in a confidential relationship.

Low Cost Counselling @Tree of Life

Counselling should be available to anyone who needs it, and should not exclude those who for financial reasons have difficulty accessing the service. To this end, as part of our comprehensive counselling service Tree of Life offers professional and confidential low-cost counselling.
