Catriona Keane

Apple Tree Health And Wellness Centre No 129 Ranelagh, Ranelagh
Many people decide to come to therapy when they feel life is not as it turned out to be and something is in need of a change. They seek professionals who are qualified, experienced and sensitive to help in addressing existing problems, traumatic events, depressive states or unresolved issues that may threaten to overwhelm or otherwise impact day to day functioning. First Meeting I offer an initial consultation to talk about your presenting issues and to help you evaluate whether we are well suited to work together. This consultation usually takes 50 mins. Areas of Focus I have a BA (Hons) degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and MSc in Psychology. I have over 7 years experience as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist in various mental health settings and third level Institutions (UCD, NUIG). I have worked with individuals and couples with a broad spectrum of issues: anxiety and panic disorders, general depression, relationship difficulties, sexual dysfunction, sexual assault, crisis pregnancy, unmanageable stress, self-harm and suicidal ideation. I offer  face-to-face  sessions in my private practice in Dublin to individuals and couples who are experiencing psychological distress. I focus on creating a collaborative relationship and providing a confidential space to help you develop an understanding of your presenting issues and effective ways to manage them.

Crossroad Counselling

46 Mount Joy Square South, Dublin, Dublin 1
Situated in Dublin City Centre, Crossroad Counselling & Psychotherapy offers both short-term and long-term confidential counselling and psychotherapy. Working from a humanistic background, we believe each client is unique and therefore draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused or Psychodynamic Therapy. We believe that everyone has the potential for growth and change if given a supportive, non-judgmental environment and time to explore their difficulties at their own pace. Our clients are given the unique opportunity to enhance their therapy with the help of an online technology with a range of resources to track their mood or anxiety, log and evaluate their thinking in particular situations, and observe associated emotions – all conveniently on their smartphone or tablet, without paperwork, and tailored to each individual client. We offer a range of therapeutic approaches for clients dealing with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, eating disorders, low self-esteem and self-harming/suicidal behaviours.
Psychotherapist Consultation up to €70
In the initial consultation therapist and client can establish whether they can do therapeutic work together. For the therapist, this involves assessing what type of therapeutic support the client needs and whether this is within the therapists realm of services offered. For the client, it involves whether they feel comfortable and safe enough within this particular therapeutic environment to bring whatever they need to the sessions.
Anger Management up to €70
Learn to understand the specific areas that trigger anger responses in you and how to deal with these situations more efficiently!
Counselling
Addiction Counselling up to €70
We offer treatment using a collaborative approach based on respect rather than confrontation, helping you explore your ambivalence and develop and maintain a motivation to change while addressing the underlying issues which contribute to your addiction.
Counselling for Self-harm/Suicidal Behaviour up to €70
Giving-up self-harm can be a long and difficult process. We help you address the factors that lead to self-harming behaviour and identify new coping mechanisms to help you replace the unhealthy behaviours, in a warm, completely non-judgemental environment.
