I started my training with a B.A. (Hons) Degree in Psychology at the Al. I. Cuza University in Iasi, Romania. After graduating in 2012 and working in a psychiatric setting I decided to further my education by embarking on a B.A. Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling at the IICP, in Dublin. I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and a pre-accredited member of IACP, working in accordance to the IACP Code of Ethics. I am a psychologist and psychotherapist based in Dublin City Centre.
My therapeutic approach integrates theoretical background and techniques from Person-Centered Counselling, Choice Theory and Reality Therapy, Existential Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Multicultural Counselling. In other words, my approach to psychotherapy is not the rigid, "one size fits all" kind, but a more creative, personalised approach, constantly redesigned, restructured and improved in order to perfectly suit your individual needs. In the spirit of tailoring psychotherapy to the individual, please note that my services are available in the following languages: English, Romanian, and Portuguese.
I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of clients, and issues such as: low self-esteem, low self-confidence, relationship difficulties, anxiety, panic attacks, low mood, stress, depression, mood swings, bereavement, grief, substance abuse and addiction, anger, trauma and abuse.
