Fiona is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist who offers individual psychotherapy to adults and adolescents. Her work is grounded in curiosity, openness, and the creation of a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. She believes that meaningful therapeutic progress is built on a strong, trusting relationship, and her focus is on getting to know each client deeply while supporting their personal healing journey.
Through Root Therapy, Fiona provides an integrative approach to psychotherapy, combining humanistic and holistic methods tailored to each individual’s needs. She offers sessions both in person in Clontarf, Dublin 3, and online, drawing on a range of therapeutic techniques to support emotional wellbeing, self-awareness, and personal growth.
Fiona’s approach is attentive to the present moment, with a focus on what emerges during sessions. This often leads to gentle exploration of past experiences, relationships, and trauma, helping clients understand how these may influence their current thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. She works collaboratively with clients to navigate these experiences and remove obstacles to growth, while encouraging the development of inner strength and resilience.
She holds a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy and a Higher Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from DBS. Fiona is a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and is committed to maintaining ethical, high-quality care through regular clinical supervision and continuous professional development.
In addition to her therapeutic work, Fiona brings over 25 years of experience as a strategic business consultant, where she advised senior leadership teams across the business-to-business sector. This background enriches her understanding of people, relationships, and the complexities individuals may face in both personal and professional environments.
