About Amber Counselling
I believe that people usually have within themselves the solutions to their own problems. By talking about it in counselling they can discover their individual qualities and resources which can help them to lead more satisfying lives.
I aim to provide the environment where you will feel at ease to explore the issues that may be troubling you. This will be done in an atmosphere of acceptance, encouragement and respect. You may wish to examine unhelpful patterns of behaviour and consider alternative choices that may be more effective.
I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy awarded by QQI and a Certificate in Counselling Children and Adolescents. I am an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). For over 4 years I have been working with adults, adolescents and children in the Village Counselling Service in Tallaght. I also work in private practice. I have dealt with issues such as loss and grief, addictions, stress and anxiety, depression, eating disorders, as well as difficulties with anger management, relationships and sexuality.
“One of the most beautiful gifts in the world is the gift of encouragement. When someone encourages you, that person helps you over a threshold you might otherwise never have crossed on your own.”
