My name is Laura Branigan-Bayoumi and I hold an honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School and am a fully accredited member of the I.A.C.P.  I work from a humanistic and integrative approach, which means that I draw on various humanistic, psychodynamic and solution focused theories in order to  explore the difficulties you are facing, increase your self-awareness and  provide you with support.   As a humanistic Psychotherapist I respect  each individual's ability to make their own decisions. My work with you will not be about giving advice or deciding what is best for you. Instead, through discussion and exploration, I will work with you to help you clarify your own beliefs, values and priorities, so you can reach your own decisions on what is best for you.   We will work together in order to truly understand your thoughts, emotions and behaviours, to deepen your level of self awareness, and to identify and work on breaking unhelpful patterns in your life. We will work towards empowering you, so that you are better able to manage and overcome whatever is holding you back from reaching  your goals and aspirations.

Lotus Counselling's goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients who may be facing a range of difficulties such as anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem issues, grief etc. It can be a courageous step to turn to a stranger for support. Counselling offers a space where you can uncover your inner strengths and identify life goals based on your individual wants and needs. We can offer you a safe place to gain awareness and insight, as well as learn strategies to manage uncomfortable thoughts, emotions and behaviours. I am trained in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy which means I do not follow one particular discipline or school of thought. Rather than a 'one size fits all' approach I find it more beneficial to integrate a range of different theories and techniques based on the individual client's needs. These include but are not limited to Humanistic Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, Gestalt therapy and Psychodynamic theory.

Martina holds an honours BA in Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapy, is a fully accredited member of the IACP, with seven years experience working with both adults and adolescents. She is a highly skilled, empathic, compassionate client focussed professional, dedicated to providing a safe space for healing and growth. Martina's experience includes a proven ability for successful therapy outcomes working with diverse personal and inter-relational issues. A deep understanding of life's challenges and a non-judgemental approach to people's life experience informs Martina's approach at all times. She has excellent professional boundaries and is always working from a confidential and ethical place.  Some of Martina's areas of expertise are childhood abuse, bereavement, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, sexuality issues, marital or relationship separation, issues surrounding childbirth, substance misuse and life transitions. Martina applies a Person Centred and Psychodynamic approach, working in the here and now on issues that are causing a disturbance, whilst drawing on the client's unique life experience in order to find meaning for current emotional, psychological and behavioural challenges.

I am a qualified psychotherapist with a BA (Hons) degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School and am an accredited member of the IACP (Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy). I have also completed the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). I use an Integrative and Humanistic approach to psychotherapy and counselling. I believe in the quality of the therapeutic relationship. I provide a confidential, non-judgemental and supportive environment. I believe the role of the therapist is to facilitate and assist clients to make meaning of their experience and discover their inner world. I am a dynamic therapist who promotes self-awareness, personal growth and well-being leading to more empowered individuals. Marie Keegan is a qualified psychotherapist based in Galway, Ireland, offering counselling services for adults. With extensive training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Traumatology, and Grief and Bereavement, Marie offers personalised care for issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and trauma. Although Marie cannot work with eating disorders, couples, or anyone under 18, she offers convenient online and phone services for her clients.

I believe that you have the resources within yourself to find answers and resolve your difficulties, but may need a bit of help on this journey.  I work in an integrative way, meaning that I will use elements from different areas of psychotherapy in order to help you develop a stronger and healthier sense of yourself. It is helpful to gain some insight into the cause of the problem, and then work together with you on finding ways forward.  I hold a BA (hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy from ICHAS (the Irish College of Humanities & Applied Sciences) and am an accredited member of the APCP and also a registered member of the BACP. I have experience and knowledge in trauma and have trained in EMDR and am currently training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-focused treatment for trauma.  Most recently I have trained in couples co)unselling and am now seeing couples.
