There are many different models of therapy. Some therapists have only been trained in one particular model, which probably will not suit everyone. Simon is trained in both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Person Centred Therapy (PCT). Both of these can be integrated into treatment which can privide a more holistic approach which is individually tailored to each person he works with. This modern approach is usually semi-structured and likely to involve some guidance, direction and information. We usually explore elements of your life from the past, present and future.
Hypnotherapy $62
Hypnosis is the natural state of mind that is experienced by each of us several times each day. It is a trance like state that is both relaxing and safe. You remain completely aware of everything going on around you and cannot be made to do anything that you would not want to do. Hypnotherapy helps to release more of your natural potential. This is achieved by re-programming any negative thoughts, debilitating beliefs and/or behaviours, and thus eliminating their actions which can cause us to lead less-rewarding and stressful lives.

Connecting Mindfully (counselling & psychotherapy) - Psychotherapy Clinic in Ireland
5.0 from 1 verified review
When something in your life is not how you'd like it to be, or when you're looking for help and support for something that you're going through; perhaps a life event, a particular concern or maybe problems with relationships, at home, in school or at work. Maybe you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, frustration, fear, sadness or other emotions.  Stress can be a part of this.  Counselling can help you to better understand what might be going on for you, and to find ways to effectively manage feelings, thoughts or worries.  My experience is that clients come to counselling because they want something in their life to be different. I appreciate that it's often not easy to come to counselling. I welcome clients with warmth and openness, and a non-judgemental listening ear. I am a Person-Centred Therapist and I use ACT, CBT and Choice Theory to help clients work through an issue or to help them shine a new light on an area of their life that is not currently how they would like it to be. Sometimes what we need is to be listened to and heard.  Coming to see a therapist is a brave step towards getting support.  Allowing yourself to talk about and express what you are experiencing might be what you need at this time.  We often don't 'press pause' in our lives, we often don't give ourselves the time or space to check in with ourselves. We believe that no two people are exactly alike, which means treatments are tailored to the individual through a Humanistic Integrative Approach. Our therapists use evidence-based methods and are trained to a Master's level. We attend regular supervision in order maintain the highest standard of care.
