Dr Stuart Sadler qualified from the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Newcastle University in 2007. He has experience of working with a variety of difficulties relating to adjustment and psychological distress including stress, anxiety, panic, depression, sleep disorders, bereavement, low self-esteem and confidence, and physical health difficulties. In 2012, Stuart also graduated from Glasgow University with a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology and in 2014 completed the Foundation Certificate in Systemic and Family Therapy. He has also attended courses on treating obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic worry and insomnia/sleep problems to name but a few.
Stuart believes that his training and experience in delivering specialist Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and CBT for insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), solution focused and systemic approaches, mindfulness, and positive psychology all help address his client’s difficulties in a more comprehensive way than might be offered by any single modality. As a fully registered HCPC and BPS Chartered Clinical Psychologist, Stuart keeps up to date with the most recent research and practice to provide the best service to his clients. He also regularly teaches on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Newcastle University as well as providing training courses and supervision for other psychologists.
