About The Oldfield Psychology Practice

I am a Clinical Psychologist, which means that I can use a range of psychological models to tailor therapy to your specific needs. One of the advantages of using the services of a Clinical Psychologist is that I don't work to one specific therapeutic model and this means that if you've tried psychological therapy before and not found it helpful I may be able to offer something different that you might find more useful. I take referrals from most private healthcare providers, and can also accept personal referrals for individual, family, and couples therapy. At various times there may also be group therapies available, for example a group for depression, or anxiety. Please phone or email to make an appointment. Psychologist Consultation for individual therapy

There are times when we all feel that we cannot cope. Sometimes we might feel overwhelmed and not know how to get through it on our own. But who can you turn to when you're struggling this way? The short answer is that you don't have to face difficult feelings on your own. Whether you have a mental health issue or just need some help getting through a particularly tough time there is always someone to turn to.

I am currently able to use a variety of psychological models in therapy. The following are some of these:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy (ST)

Please note that prices for sessions vary dependent on whether therapy is face to face, and for individuals or groups. All initial consultation appointments are £50.

I am a chartered Clinical Psychologist. I am currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This is the professional regulating body for the Clinical Psychology profession. I am also registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS). This is the professional body for all psychologists.

I worked in the NHS for five years before going into private practice. I have clinical experience of working with clients with a range of mental health problems across the lifespan. In particular I have worked into child and adolescent mental health services, adult mental health services, older adult mental health services, Learning Disabilities services, and Autistic Spectrum Specialist services. I also worked as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist for Eating Disorders.
