Ms Jennie Persson
Biography:
Jennie has been a Chartered Psychologist for 14 years. With a specialism in evidence-based psychotherapy, Jennie has worked in primary-, secondary-, in-patient and out-patient settings in the NHS, forensic and private sector. She has also worked for the leading Swedish psychiatric clinic (WeMind) offering cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in Stockholm, Sweden. Jennie trained at the Institute of Psychiatry, South London, receiving BABCP accreditation as a CBT therapist, which means that she has extensive post-chartered specialist training in in this mode of therapy. She devotes part of her clinical time to training and supervising fellow psychologists in the application of cognitive and behavioural therapies and is experienced in facilitating therapeutic groups on OCD, depression, anxiety and groups for early intervention in psychosis based on CBT principles. Presently Jennie works part-time as a Senior Supervisor for East London NHS foundation trust. She also also offers psychiatric and neurocognitive assessments. Jennie has worked privately outside of her NHS commitments since 2006, seeing clients in Central and West London where she also offers medico-legal opinion in personal injury cases, employment tribunal/disability cases, and in criminal and forensic psychiatry cases. Jennie and Marie both act as expert witnesses in trauma and anxiety based disorders.
