Mr Daniel Griffin

Job Title:
  Practice Therapist
Specialisations:
Physical Therapy, Sport and Exercise Science
Biography:
Just graduated from the University of Worcester in Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation. During my time at Worcester I was fortunate to gather a large amount of experience. I have provided massage and first aid at many sporting events, including the London Marathon, Tough Guy and Men’s Health survival of the fittest competitions. I also spent 3 weeks in America on placement at Ball State University. Here I worked with a team of the Universities student Athletic Trainers in the pre-season training camp for their American Football team , the Ball State Cardinals. This consisted of preparing the players for training and games, taping ankles, stretching etc and also diagnosis and treatment of injuries.
As well as this placement I also did a 6 month placement at League 2 Hereford United Football Club. Here I worked with the head Physiotherapist helping to diagnose, treat and rehab the injuries of the first team players and also perform some first aid as well as massage. Since graduating I temporary returned to Hereford United to help out with the pitch side first aid as the Physiotherapist became caretaker manager. Since graduating as well as working temporary at Hereford United I also worked for a short period at Zamaretto League One team, Stourport Swifts. I am a passionate Sports person both watching and playing. I have played and still play football, badminton, tennis and long distance running. I also have tried my hands at many other sports!

Biography:
I have recently graduated from my BSc (hons) degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation from the University of Worcester. At my time in Worcester I completed a season long placement at Hereford Utd F.C. where I was involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of any injured players. I have also participated in many other sporting events over the last few years, including providing massage for London marathon runners associated with the Heart UK charity, and other endurance events such Tough Guy and the world record breaking rowing attempt completed by members of the University of Worcester rowing club.
Since graduating I now provided Sports Therapy and touchline First Aid for a Worcester Sunday League football team as well as working in the Energize Sports Therapy injury clinic at Topnotch Health Club. Although my sporting interests lye mostly in football and I have been involved in football teams for the past few years, I have also seen a wide variety of injuries from different sporting backgrounds while working in the University of Worcester Injury Clinic and at Energize Sports Therapy.
