I had a relapse of an old back injury in October and was recommended to use Gosforth Physio and Wellness. I was seen by James who I thought was excellent on all levels. He was friendly and immediately reassuring in respect of the injury, the treatment and recovery prospects. I had six sessions which ranged from assessment and simple relief exercises to strengthening exercises and acupuncture. James explained everything in detail from the nature of my injury to the treatment process, exercises and long term path to full recovery. It is very refreshing in the modern day commercial world and economic climate that I wasn't given the 'hard sell' for further sessions as James knew I was paying for the treatment myself so was very pragmatic and understanding in this regard. I definitely felt James was fully committed to my treatment and recovery rather than trying to have as many sessions as possible. First class service all round. I wouldn't hesitate to use James again if I have any further relapses and would recommend them to anyone who has any similar issues.
James is just the best. My shoulder is showing signs of improvement already and his explanation of treatment is excellent. I would highly recommend this centre. First class. Excellent service.
I had knee pain for nearly 3 years and had been to the NHS and other physio's with no long term help. Kevin the physio and Jamie the bio-mechanical podiatrist spent the entire session working out my problem. It was due to my knee cap constantly being pulled out of line giving me lots of pain with going down stairs and cycling. Treatment was (physio) releasing all my (very) tight muscles and taping my knee to settle my pain when walking and exercisers that I needed to do 2-3 times a day to rebuild my weak bum!. Jamie created an orthotic to correct my short leg length and stop my foot flattening which was determined to be the root cause of my ongoing problem of my knee cap pulling out of line.The sessions are 40 minutes long which is double the time I was given in the NHS! No one else had spent the time with me to work out the whole problem, everyone else had just been treating the symptoms and not the root cause. In total I only need 4 sessions of physio and one assessment with Jamie for my orthotic. To be pain free after so many years is incredible, I tell anyone with a problem to go and get an assessment, in fact my brother has also been to sort his back pain out. We are now both in Kevins Pilates class's and getting stronger with no pains at all. I chose the clinc as my friend started Kevin's Pilates classes and was impressed at how knowledgeable and friendly they all are.All the clinicians are amazing and Julie on the desk is just fantastic. The clinic is beautiful, relaxing and clean! If you want to solve your pain and problem this is the place to go.
