Sheffield Pelvic Physio and Sheffield Medical Acupuncture

I trained in physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University, graduating in 2001. I have specialised In Womens Health since 2005 and continue to work in this field within the NHS alongside my private practice. I am committed to this vital and often overlooked area, having a particular interest in working with pregnant and postnatal women and those suffering from pelvic floor problems.

I have undertaken extensive postgraduate training in Womens Health. This year I completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Womens Health Physiotherapy and continue to work towards an MSc in this area. I obtained a Diploma in Pregnancy Massage (Association of Physical and Natural Therapists) in 2007 and have been qualified to use acupuncture within my physiotherapy practice since 2003. I have undertaken advanced acupuncture training for treatment throughout pregnancy and for specific Womens Health conditions. I am currently training with the National Childbirth Trust to provide postnatal support for new parents.

I am registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and belong to the professional organisations regulating Womens Health (ACPWH) and Acupuncture in Physiotherapy (AACP).

I use a combination of manual therapy, massage, advice, acupuncture, postural correction and exercises to restore function and reduce pain. I aim to offer the most appropriate holistic treatment for each individual.
