Biography:
Gail Lawson has a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University (1998) and a post graduate qualification in Orthopaedic Medicine. 
She began working in musculoskeletal physio in Fife and Edinburgh before moving in 2004 to the Spire Livingston Clinic . There she specialised in the treatment of back and neck pain using an approach called Active Spine Care.  
In addition Gail was also a member of the medical team at Hearts Football Club from 2000-2005. Duties included injury management of the playing staff as well as the provision of pitch side cover for the reserve squad.   In her final 2 years at the Riccarton Academy Gail also set up and managed an assessment clinic for the clubs youth players. 
In 2006 Gail moved back to Edinburgh to join McNaughton Physiotherapy Practice on a full time basis and is now a Partner in McNaughton PhysioGrange.

Biography:

Alison Downie has a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine and sports injuries. 

After graduating in 1989 with a BSc in Physiotherapy she combined full time work in the NHS with private sports injury clinic work. This included attendance as the on-site Physio at international badminton and gymnastic events, district level rugby, the Millennium Commonwealth Youth Games and professional tennis in Edinburgh for the Scottish LTA. 

In 2001 she obtained a post-graduate diploma in Sports Medicine from the University of Wales. 

Alison also has a particular interest in the treatment of spinal pain and pelvic dysfunctions using various treatment techniques and exercises with the emphasis being on education to help prevent a recurrence of the problem.

In addition to her hands on experience, Alison has lectured to Consultants, GPs and Physiotherapists on aspects of musculoskeletal medicine including knee and shoulder problems. She writes and contributes to many articles in various sports and general interest magazines. She is a Partner in McNaughton PhysioGrange.

Biography:
Amy Coventry graduated from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen in 2008 and spent the first 2 years of her working life in private practice in Te Awomutu, New Zealand.
Whilst over there her main scope of practice was manual therapy and exercise prescription. She was also in charge of rehabilitation programmes at a local gym for patients following surgery or major acidents. It was in New Zealand that Amy developed a keen interest in rugby and sporting injuries, working with two local teams in Te Awomutu.
Amy returned to Scotland in December 2010 and after a short spell with the NHS now works in private practice. She also works with Dunbar Rugby Club providing players with treatment and pitchside first aid. Amy has specialist training in exercise prescription and kinesiotaping and is also a qualified pilates class instructer
