About Transcend Physiotherapy Clinic - Maghull

Our purpose is to deliver the very best in physiotherapy care for our patients, with specialist knowledge and skills in the management and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. We are able to offer affordable treatment, which will be provided in a professional, friendly manner, in a private consultation and treatment room.

Our highly qualified clinicians will provide you with a clear clinical impression of your condition, and a tailor-made treatment plan personal to you based on your needs and wishes, in conjunction with our clinicians extensive experience and knowledge, combined with the most up to date medical evidence.

We are able to offer weekday, evening and weekend appointments without the restrictions of a waiting list. This allows us to effectively treat your pain, and allow you to lead your life and achieve your goals.

Your initial appointment will last 45-60 minutes. To aid a diagnosis, we will ask you questions regarding the nature of you condition and how it first developed. We will also ask you about medical conditions you may have and medications you are taking.

You will then receive a thorough objective examination where your physiotherapist will assess your physical function. This may involve assessment of your posture, gait, range of movement, muscle funtion, joint mobility, and special tests.

Following this assessment we will discuss with you the likely diagnosis and the implications of this. The full spectrum of management options available to you will be discussed, whether physio will be of benefit to you, and the treatments available. We encourage all of our patients to be actively involved in planning their future care, and we will also provide you with information regarding more invasive procedures such as steroid injections and surgery if this is deemed more appropriate. We will inform your GP of the outcome of our assessment by way of a letter.

"Treatment was adapted to suit my condition"
100%Reviewed 11 Dec 2015 Review verified by email.
Treatment Received:
I attended Transcend with an issue to my shoulder and neck. My initial consultation was thorough and the follow up treatment was adapted to suit as my condition improved. As well as their high competence, they make you feel very comfortable and at ease.

I have been very impressed with their level of professionalism and knowledge and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone in need of Physiotherapy or relating services. Being a Personal Trainer I often come across clients in need of such services and have already recommended Transcend to them.

Ultrasound therapy utilises high-frequency sound waves to cause a vibratory effect within the soft tissues. This is proposed to have a positive impact on the soft tissue healing process, although the mechanism of action is still not fully understood. Acupuncture Treatment (45 mins)

Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body. It is thought that Acupuncture stimulates the release of chemicals known as endorphins from the hypothalamus which results in a pain-relieving effect.

Acupuncture works well for many people and there are rarely any side effects. Many people feel an immediate effect from Acupuncture treatment, but it is always recommended that it is used at least 3 times as the beneficial effects are said to be cumulative.
