Tessa George Da Silva is the Director and Lead Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist of Effective Physiotherapy Ltd. She qualified from Manchester University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2002. She has also completed post graduate diplomas and postgraduate certificates in Orthopaedic Medicine, Business Management and Sports and Exercise Medicine. As a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Tessa has gained further qualifications in Acupuncture and Pilates. Tessa has worked both in the NHS and in the private sector. She has gained extensive experience working with elite, sub-elite and recreational athletes’ injuries across many different disciplines. Tessa is a keen sports woman and has been involved in sports from an early age competing in middle distance running and netball at local and national levels. Tessa now spends most of her time helping athletes and non-athletes recover from their injuries.

Jo Cislo-Subieta is a specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. She qualified from AWF Wroclaw, Poland in 1998. Jo migrated to the UK in 2000 where she now specialises in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Jo now works as a specialist in back, shoulder and hip pain and has great interest in movement dysfunction. Maggie is a Specialist Physiotherapist in Vestibular Rehabilitation. She qualified from ISCAM Ilya Prigogine, Brussels Belgium with a distinction in Physiotherapy in 2000. Maggie migrated to the UK in 2001 where she had the opportunity to work within the NHS Physiotherapy Departments at various London based hospitals. Maggie has been working as a Specialist Physiotherapist and Team Leader for 7 years in Elderly Rehabilitation, Falls Prevention and Balance treatment in a community based NHS hospital. Maggie is trained in Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) and is a member of ACPIVR (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists Interested in Vestibular Rehabilitation). Her client base is adults and the elderly. Her role is to perform an accurate assessment and examination to determine how the individual’s balance system is functioning. She then develops an exercise based treatment programme designed to treat vestibular disorders. VRT has been demonstrated to be a highly effective treatment for most individuals with vestibular or central balance system disorders.

She is also trained in Bobath, Carr & Shepherd methods, Postural Management of the Complex Disabled Person along with John Barns approach to Myofascial Release Therapy. Yvonne aims to maximise clients’ functional independence, quality of life and help them to realise and fulfil their personal goals.
