He is the Founder of North London Knee Clinic, He qualified in 1992 from Manchester University Medical School. He has worked in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery since 1996. In 2003-4, he undertook an Orthopaedic Fellowship in Melbourne Australia, specialising in hip and knee surgery. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK). He has gained experience in computer navigation and patient-specific jigs for knee replacement surgery. He also has an interest in accelerated rehabilitation after joint replacement surgery. He is a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon for Barnet and Chase Farm NHS trust, with trauma commitments at Barnet General, elective operating at Chase Farm and Outpatient clinics at Finchley Memorial Hospital.

He is qualified from the Medical School, University of Athens, in 1984. He completed his training in Orthopaedic Surgery rotating in hospitals in Nottingham, Derby and Leeds. In 1995 he was appointed as a Senior Lecturer, Hon. Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Edinburgh. Since 1996 he has been practising as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust, London. He is the Director of the MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine, UCL since its launch in 1999. He has taken part in the design of the Sports and Exercise Medicine Specialty and also he is a member of the Specialty Training Committee in London for this Specialty, leading the training of doctors in West London. He is the Academic Secretary of the British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma Association BOSTA. He is the Editor of the Sports Orthopaedic Section for the Electronic NHS National Library, evaluating all related Sports Surgery projects presented prior to publication. He has widely presented and published articles related to Knee and Sports Surgery. He is the author of the book “Key Topics in Sports Medicine” published in 2006 by Routledge. His main experience and interest is in Knee Surgery: knee arthroscopy, osteotomy, Primary and Revision total knee replacement and in particular knee ligament surgery such as ACL Reconstruction, PCL Reconstruction and multiple ligament problems. His other sports surgery expertise includes: hip arthroscopy, ankle arthroscopy, compartment syndrome decompression and post-trauma management. He has been involved with the treatment of elite athletes. He advises Arsenal FC, Barnet FC, MK Dons, Brentford FC and Wycombe Wanders FC. Also, he provides advice to the British Fencing, British Ski Federation, British American Football League and other sport organisations.

A consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2005, He is qualified form St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, Imperial College in 1995. His Orthopaedic training took place in London with specialist and fellowship training in knee and sports injury surgery at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and the Jonathan Webb Clinic, Bristol. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK) and the British Association for Sports and Exercise Medicine (BASEM). He has experience in all aspects of knee reconstructive surgery and is one of the UK and European lead surgeons in developing a rapid recovery protocol following hip and Knee replacement surgery. He is a Consultant at the Hillingdon and Mount Vernon NHS trust.
