Biography:
A2Z Medical Director, Emergency Medicine Consultant and Sports Physician Dr Abosede Ajayi (also known as "GB") is co-founder and Medical Director for A2Z and is responsible for clinical governance and standards within A2Z. Dr Ajayi undertook her basic medical training in London, qualifying from Imperial College London in 1999 with subsequent Specialist Medical Training in both Emergency Medicine and Sport and Exercise Medicine. Now a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Imperial College London, GB has also been appointed as Chief Medical Officer to British Diving and British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS). She also consults for the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) and the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and is a member of the Medical Commission of the European Universities Sports Association. Dr Ajayi has attended, in a medical capacity, the 2012 Olympic Games (London), two World University Games (Serbia & China), two Commonwealth Games (Delhi & Isle of Man), in addition to being a team doctor at World Championships, World Cups and European Championships with British Diving & England Women's Rugby. Dr Ajayi has also worked with Chelsea and Fulham Premiership football clubs, premiership rugby club London Harlequins as well as spells with GB volleyball, GB Judo, GB wrestling and England badminton. Her areas of interest clinically include diagnosis and management of low back pain, knee injuries, head injury and concussion management, dietetics and nutrition. An international speaker, she is an authority on sports trauma management and anti-doping.

Biography:
Specialist Sport and Performance Physiotherapist A founder member of A2Z, Gareth brings extensive clinical and management experience to his role as the Lead Physiotherapist working closely with the Medical Director. Gareth trained and qualified in Zimbabwe and has worked extensively with elite and professional athletes since 1998. He has worked with a number of Zimbabwe national teams including Hockey, Rugby, Gymnastics, Cricket, Davis Cup Tennis, Swimming and Athletics. Gareth moved to the UK in 2004 and went on to join the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield where he worked with a number of sports including UK Athletics, Bob Skeleton, GB Boxing, GB Diving, GB Volleyball and GB Table Tennis and GB Handball. He also worked with a number of Paralympic athletes from GB Table Tennis, UK Athletics, GB Swimming, GB Wheelchair Basketball among others. Subsequently, Gareth worked in the North East of England in a private practice and was also Regional Lead Physiotherapist for TASS and was re-called to work as an independent consultant with British Diving. He is now the Head Physiotherapist for British Diving. Gareth has attended 3 Olympic Games (Athens, Beijing and London), 2 All-Africa Games (South Africa, Nigeria), the Afro-Asia Games (as physiotherapist for Africa Athletics in India) as well as numerous World championships, European Championships and World Series competitions with British Diving. Gareth's clinical interests include biomechanics, management of shoulder and spinal injuries, training recovery methods and the development of measures of performance measures. With a background in computer programming, Gareth has also developed a number of clinical audit tools and most recently software integrating performance and injury monitoring.

Mr Aristeidis Anagnostou

Biography:
Personal Trainer & Rehabilitation Specialist Aris was born and raised in Zimbabwe, to Greek parents. He trained and qualified in Greece as a Sports Scientist and gained extensive experience in Personal Training. Aris' in depth understanding of the physiological adaptations occurring to the human body during exercise, combined with his passion for biomechanics initially led him to mostly work with cases that demanded injury or post-surgical rehabilitation. However, he also showed a keen interest in training professional athletes, fitness fanatics of all levels as well as a number of celebrities Aris also enjoys teaching and to this end has tutored up and coming personal trainers en route to gaining their qualification. Having trained as a Marine in the Greek special forces, he fully stands for, and understands the importance and effectiveness of the multidisciplinary approach used by A2Z Elite Health which Aris says is similar in both the military and in elite sports. Described as professional, easy going and knowledgeable, Aris prides himself on his ability to achieve the results that matter to his clients by applying his knowledge in simple and effective ways.
