About Swanland Physiotherapy Clinic Ltd

Swanland Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic opened in in 1993, run by husband and wife John and Bridget King. Our modern purpose built clinic offers a professional and confidential environment with off road parking and disabled access.

We treat injury and disease by correcting and improving the body's own natural healing mechanism. A thorough assessment of each problem will be undertaken, together with an analysis of work, rest and recreational activities.

The Clinic offers a range of traditional hands on treatments including mobilisation, soft tissue massage, exercise and education regarding the prevention and management of acute, chronic and recurrent conditions.

We work on a one to one basis and all information is confidential.

We use techniques that include McKenzie, Mulligan or Pilates based approaches.

We also use a range of sophisticated equipment including;

Pulsed Short Wave Diathermy

These are used to help with pain management and promotion of healing.

SPINAL PROBLEMS - including prolapsed discs,degeneration,sciatica,spondylosis,stiff/painful neck and referred arm and leg pain.

Rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery e.g. hip and knee replacements or physiotherapy after general surgery.

Treatment to gain full function once the bones have healed.

Strains, sprains, and bruising to soft tissue from a very wide range of sports.

To muscles, ligaments, cartilage and tendon problems and to work related conditions such as repetitive strain injury.

Such as stroke, head injury, nerve injuries, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, M.E, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

"Worth every penny and will attend another appointment in due course"

Treatment Received: Physiotherapist Consultation
This was my first appointment for a painful stiff neck and within the 30 minute slot I had a full consultation plus some light massage and laser treatment.
Mr King also gave me advice on helpful follow up exercises plus tips for better posture for sleeping.
I thought the session was worth every penny and will attend another appointment in due course.
I searched the internet and chose this clinic because of the range of conditions and treatments offered plus the length of experience of the physiotherapists. The clinic is in a convenient location and with a good choice of appointment times.
The clinic is small and friendly with a professional atmosphere and with plenty of useful information in reception.
