Treatments

Acupuncture

Acupuncture for pain control is more widely accepted. Needling is a painful stimulus which releases histamine, calcitonin-gene related peptide and causes a local inflammatory reaction (Wu,1999). Small afferent A-delta fibres are also stimulated that cause the release of b endorphin and leu-enkephalin in the dorsal horn of the affected spinal cord segment. These substances block the transmission of small C fibre mediated nociceptive input to the ascending sensory columns through the mechanism of ‘pain gating’ (Melzack and Wall,1996), thus reducing the experience of pain. Segmental mechanisms of pain control are most likely to act locally and are probably responsible for the analgesic effects of needling close to the site of pain. People with Chronic low back Pain see marked reductions in low back pain during Treatments.

TREATMENTS INCLUDING ELECTROTHERAPY: LASER  ,ULTRASOUND,TENS.

CONSERVATIVE TREATMENTS:CUPPING THERAPY, MANIPULATION,MASSAGE

What is laser therapy?

L.A.S.E.R stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. Laser Therapy involves applying low intensity laser light to relieve pain following damage to soft tissue. Laser therapy facilitates tissue repair and restores normal cell function.

Low level therapy involves using an infra-red spectrum which penetrates the skin and stimulates the cells within muscles, tendons or ligaments, promoting healing.

The method of application will depend on your presenting condition. A treatment head or probe is usually applied directly to the tissue being treated. The amount of energy exposed to the tissue is controlled by the physiotherapist.

What is Ultrasound used for in Physical Therapy?

Ultrasound is an effective way to treat swelling of muscles, joints, and ligaments.‌

Ultrasound can be used to treat a wide range of health problems. But, it's most commonly used to solve problems in muscle tissue. The heating effect of the ultrasound helps to heal muscle pain and reduces chronic inflammation.‌

Ultrasound also helps tissue fluids flow better — which means that more lymph passes through the tissues. Lymph is an important fluid that transports white blood cells throughout the body. So, in this way, ultrasound helps your damaged cells fight infections and heal faster.

Rehabilitation:

Physiotherapy is an essential aid to recover strength and movement following surgery such as:

• Ligament reconstructions

• Tendon repairs

• Meniscectomy (removal of knee cartilages)

• Setting of fractures

• Removal of spinal disks

• Joint replacements

Nice looking treatment room and friendly staff add to the whole experience

5 50 Acupuncture Treatment, Physiotherapist Consultation

I received clear and concise advice about the cause of my condition and the required treatment from Amnish. He used Laser, acupuncture and manipulation for my pain.

Due to the treatment and advice from Amnish, my Neck and Back pain including mobility are now significantly improved and I continue to exercise as he suggested.

Should the issue return I would be very happy to once again receive treatment from Amnish. Nice looking treatment room and friendly staff add to the whole experience.
