I am a chartered physiotherapist, a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and HCPC registered.

I treat any acute injuries (including sports, whiplash, neck, shoulder, elbow, hand, back, pelvic, hip, knee and foot conditions). Conditions can be recent or can be ongoing such as arthritic pain. I also provide post-operative rehabilitation, physiotherapy following fractures and treatment for work related or postural pains.

After graduating in 1999 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy I specialised in musculoskeletal outpatients, working with children and adults presenting with any musculoskeletal problem.

As a postgraduate I have achieved several further qualifications: I am an Accredited member of The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and have an Advanced Clinical Practice Diploma with The Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine. I am also qualified to provide steroid injections in the NHS setting.

I have special interests in the assessment and treatment of pelvic disorders (particularly the sacroiliac joint) and foot disorders.

The initial assessment will consist of a short discussion to establish the nature of the problem and your goals with regard to physiotherapy.

This will be followed by a full musculoskeletal assessment appropriate to your condition, to include your alignment, muscle strength and movement to form a clinical impression and treatment plan.

"I am happy with the results"

I had discomfort down the length of my left leg. The doctor had dismissed it as osteoarthritis and given me painkillers
Simon was extremely good. He gave a very full assessment and took the trouble to eliminate all possibilities until he found the solution for me and he found that whilst I do have osteoarthritis the pain in my leg was caused by a problem in my back.. The exercises he has suggested work so I am happy.

Not the traditional surgery but well equipped with all that was needed.

"Amazing experience and I would definitely go back again"
4 50Reviewed 20 Mar 2017 Verified user.
Treatment Received: Physiotherapist Consultation
I searched the web for a local physio after a back injury was no better despite 2 different osteopaths taking a look and giving treatment at "Hands On". I was desperate as I had a toddler under 2 and a 5 week old baby who i had been unable to feed for over a week. Simon spent time thoroughly assessing my symptoms/ lifestyle /history by asking lots of questions and also tested many areas of my pelvis, nerves, joints etc to locate the source of the problem. He diagnosed within 45mins, showed me a set of exercises which made me able to function again within 24hrs! He was amazing. No actual treatment required, just a fantastic knowledge of where the problem lay and the solution. The 2 osteopaths I saw previously had treated "reference pain" as opposed to the actual spinal joint problem. I would recommend Simon and go back to him again.

Don't expect a fully furnished treatment room - this is in the back of a church and a little hilly.... a minor compromise for Simons experience IMO.
