Biography:
DAVID SAUNDERS QUALIFIED FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM WITH A BSC (HONS) IN PHYSIOTHERAPY IN 2004. David immediately worked within the NHS for 3 years gaining valuable experience in a variety of settings. During this time David worked part-time for Welsh Hockey, the Cardiff Devils and Newbridge RFC. His first taste of full time Sports Physiotherapy was when he joined his home rugby region the Gwent Dragons as one of the Physiotherapists for the senior squad. David then went on to do his Msc. in Sports Physiotherapy at Cardiff University. In 2008 David gained full time employment with Glamorgan County Cricket Club as their first team Physiotherapist for 2 seasons. Alongside this David was able to continue to be the Lead Physiotherapist for the senior Welsh Netball Association (WNA) and the Super league Celtic Dragons team. David bowed out of this role after serving the WNA for 6 years to focus on growing his business, Agile Therapy Ltd.David was proud to have been one of the Sports Physiotherapist at the 2012 London Olympics, supporting the competing world class athletes. A memory and an experience he will treasure for a long time. Alongside running and acting as the lead Physiotherapist at Agile Therapy’s clinic he covers the Cardiff MCCU cricket academy and the men’s Welsh under 18’s football team.

Biography:
DOUGLAS STUDIED PROSTHETICS & ORTHOTICS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF STRATHCLYDE IN GLASGOW, GRADUATING IN 2006. SINCE THEN HE HAS BEEN WORKING IN SOUTH WALES AND IS CURRENTLY A CLINICAL SPECIALIST WORKING FOR THE NHS. During this time he has been involved in specialist areas of musculoskeletal injuries and neurology. This can involve using a number of different types of orthoses (e.g. insoles, ankle or knee braces) which are used to reduce pain and/or improve function of a joint(s). A keen sportsman, Doug currently plays National League hockey for Whitchurch Hockey Club and Aussie Rules Football for the Cardiff Panthers ARFC and Scotland. Doug has a firm grasp of sporting injuries and how recovery may be aided by a suitable orthosis in some circumstances.

Biography:
LUCY QUALIFIED AS A CHARTERED AND FULLY REGISTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM IN 2009. LUCY WORKED FOR 2 YEARS IN THE NHS IN BIRMINGHAM BEFORE MOVING TO SOUTH WALES FOR A ROLE WITHIN THE BUSY AND HIGHLY REGARDED ABERTAWE AND BROMORGANWG UNIVERSITY HEALTH TRUST. Lucy has honed her skills within the musculoskeletal arena over the last few years and is a Specialist MSK Physiotherapist within her department. Alongside her full time position, Lucy has worked in a number of successful private Physiotherapy companies. Lucy was the National Lead Physiotherapist for Hockey Wales until March 2013 and introduced the highly successful medical screening system that had a huge impact on all age groups of the association. Lucy has also worked for Swansea City Football Club Academy and the South Wales Scorpions Rugby League Football Club. Lucy is Agile Therapies acupuncturist where she is able to help with chronic and acute pain relief from back pain to elbow tendinopathy. Acupuncture has been proven to be a natural way of pain relief. Lucy is able to help in all elements of injury rehabilitation with a firm interest in lower back pain and hip pathologies. Lucy not only has a lot of experience at working with sport but also plays at a high level of hockey and is training to compete in a half ironman competition.
