Dr Will Thomas
FRCS (Tr & Orth), MB BS, BSC (hons), PGCME William Thomas is a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in conditions of the shoulder and elbow as well as Upper Limb injuries. His practice is based at the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre, Royal Devon and Exeter Nuffield Hospital, Exeter. Will qualified from University College London Medical School in 2001. During his undergraduate studies he also gained an Honours Degree in the field of Physiology and Pharmacology. He then moved to the West Country for his basic surgical training in Bath and his Orthopaedic training in Bristol. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2011. Will has a broad experience of shoulder and trauma surgery, completing prestigious, advanced surgical fellowships in Geelong, Victoria, Australia with Associate Professor Richard Page and at the South West of England’s Major Trauma Centre in Frenchay Hospital, Bristol. He holds active membership of the British Shoulder and Elbow Society, the British Trauma Association and the British Orthopaedic Association. His specialist clinical practice has a particular focus on arthroscopic (keyhole) techniques and the contemporary treatment of traumatic injuries.
